This year we put a ton of work into the new system, we made lots of progress and also had a few setbacks to resolve which is normal in software development. We have a lot of new users (over 1,000!) on the system who have been giving us great feedback and they love it!
Features coming soon include enhanced branding for jobs, documents and client facing pages. They will look much better with more places to put your custom images and brand attributes. Once those are complete, we will address users who have multiple brands and work to get them onto the new ShootQ. We are also working on other features that legacy ShootQ did not have such as text reminders, better online booking options, and a few other surprises!
When we originally launched the new system in January, we knew it would be good for new users who did not need all the features of Legacy ShootQ. We started to migrate users and received some great feedback. We released the first version of the mobile app and after receiving feedback, we decided it needed some adjusting and we will release the next version at the end of this year/early January.
If you haven’t done so yet, please create a new account and get used to how the new system handles, leads, proposals, contracts, and online bookings. The new system is different from legacy ShootQ. We addressed many things that users wanted adjusted like stand alone invoices, stand alone contracts, and a lot more. Don’t worry….if you are not ready to switch to a new system, you can keep using the legacy system.
When we acquired ShootQ, our goal was to ensure the longevity of the company. We are accomplishing this and creating a system that you will love and that will be around for decades. The only way to ensure the software’s success was to rewrite the entire system from the ground up which is what we did. It was much more challenging than just changing the look and feel of the system but well worth it. In the long run, the new system will be able to integrate better with more of your favorite softwares to save you time and effort.
We know you will love the new system once we get you migrated over to it. Migrations will be starting up again in January and this should work perfectly with your slower time of year. Thanks for your patience and if you have any questions about your migration and want to know when is the right time for you to migrate, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
