Today’s profile is Denise Birdsong, above, owner and principal photographer at Modern Love Photography. Denise’s studio specializes in weddings, beauty and boudoir with the goal of creating gorgeous evocative imagery.
Q. How long have you been using ShootQ?
A. I’ve been using ShootQ for about two years.
Q. What were you using to manage your business before ShootQ?
A. Shoe strings and some band aids. Really, nothing and it was a mess!
Q. What prompted you to move over to ShootQ?
A. Being the most disorganized person on the planet, when I took a tour and saw the possibilities for organization and streamlined workflows, I was smitten with ShootQ!
Q. What’s the biggest difference you’ve seen in your business as result of using ShootQ?
A. As a new photographer and business owner, I knew one of the ways to gain my clients’ confidence was to provide a professional experience in my brand across the board. From my logo, to my sites, to client communication, correspondence and management, I wanted to provide a great experience! ShootQ was a great investment because it allows me to consistently communicate and manage all of my client relationships in an organized and professional manner. For a gal with very few organizational skills, this is no small feat! I honestly feel the investment I made in ShootQ is what allowed me to book and manage over 35 weddings and over 50 total sessions in my second year of shooting!
Q. What’s your favorte ShootQ feature?
A. The ACE program saved me!
Q. If you could share one tip to help studios successfully implement ShootQ for their business what would it be?
A. When I first signed up for ShootQ, I used its basic functions and did not dive in and take full advantage of all the robust features it has to offer. I knew – with my aforementioned lack of organizational skills – that setting ShootQ up to run in the most efficient manner was going to be difficult for me. I made the decision to hire a ShootQ ACE to work with me and assist me in setting up my ShootQ account from top to bottom. That decision was an even better decision than signing up for ShootQ to begin with! I highly encourage anyone out there struggling with client management, workflow, or organization to sign up for ShootQ and then hire one of the ACEs to really get you locked and loaded!
