In January, excited for a new year, we decided to take the Pictage Blog in a new direction. Our goal for the blog since then has been to make it a place where you, as professional photographers, can go to learn and share about your photography business through instructional and interactive posts. We want to provide content that is relevant and useful for you and your professional development. So far, we have had a great response from the community and are excited to continue this direction.
We have been fortunate enough to have frequent blog contributors that contribute enriching educational content. However, on average we post 16 times a month, 12 months a year, and with wedding season soon approaching (if not already upon us) we are going to need help from this community to keep this content coming.
Are you interested?
Let me clarify.
We are looking for more bloggers that feel that they can contribute relevant and educational content. Another clarification- you do not have to be selling out workshops nationwide for this to be the case. We have noticed that the most read posts are usually those that are practically written by people who have yet to figure it all out, but have found solutions and strategies that work for them and want to share them.
So, what are we looking for?
We are looking for tips and tricks from photographers to photographers. Examples include what to bring to a wedding, tools that you use to file your taxes, how to manage a small business and stay present in your family, how you scheduled your first destination wedding, how you approached your first portrait session, how you are staying current 10 years into your photography business, the list goes on…
How do you contribute?
If you are interested, send your blog idea, a summary of the post, and a date that you would be able to publish this post (i.e. have it written) to me at evilla@pictage.com.
You can contribute in more ways than writing.
