We figure the more you know about what you will learn from each presentation, the better! Up until the conference, we will “spotlight” a different speaker each week. What are the top 3 things you want attendees to take from your presentation?
Going to Partner Con can be a bit of an overload for a photographer.
So many presentations about what to do with your business, how to take better photos, how to blog, how to market, where to shop, what to say to a client, how to design albums, etc… I thought it would be fun to relax a bit, look back at the masters of the past, learn about the history of our medium and just have some fun. So everyone bring popcorn and be prepared to be entertained. That’s it, nothing serious, just some great stories, great photography, you don’t have to take notes and you don’t have to remember any of it when you leave!!!!
What’s your favorite thing about Partner Conference Los Angeles?
Partner Con is like a great opportunity to associate with others “of our kind”. It’s like a Star Trek convention really, except that I don’t have to know how to speak Klingon.
What is the best advice you can give someone who has never attended a Partner Conference?
Research all of the presenters so you know exactly who you want to hear when you get to Partner Con and when you are not in a session, talk to every photographer you meet and find out who they are. The relationships you form at Partner Conference will last your career. Many of my friends and most important colleges, I met at Partner Conference.
Besides your own presentation who would you like to hear?
Now you’re asking me to pick favorites… Most of the time, when I pick a seminar, I look at my weaknesses and find someone who has those strengths (not just what they are speaking about) in their own work and business and I go to that presentation. There are my favorites though, who just inspire me with their passion, their ideas and the work, like Joe Buissink, although Joe, may lose out to Liana Lehman this year because I could always use a lesson in business matters. Dane Sanders, who I love and respect, has it rough this year… quite a competition for that hour: Joe, Dane and Liana. Who to choose? It may end up in a coin toss, best out of three…
