Why would you recommend Professional Photographers attend the conference?
Events like WPPI which are very targeted at Wedding and Event shooters but can be somewhat overwhelming due to their size and the number of attendees. The Pictage Partner Conference tends to be a more intimate gathering — giving photographers more time to network and socialize with each other, presenters, and exhibitors. The common thread of being associated with Pictage helps push the strength of the overall Pictage community.
Why are you supporting the Pictage Partner Conference?
A large portion of the Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom user base consists of Wedding and Event shooters. Pictage, being a leader in this space, has offered us the opportunity to speak directly to this constituency to ensure we’re providing them with the tools they need, and also to elicit feedback on how to improve our products as they pertain to this industry.
What are you looking forward to most?
We’re very much looking forward to hearing how photographers are embracing Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2, and how the changes in the application are helping them get more work done, faster. We’re also very interested in helping photographers understand how the other Adobe applications might help to make their businesses even more streamlined. For example, Adobe Connect for distance consultations, Adobe Acrobat for a paperless office, Adobe InDesign for collateral design, etc.
